Revised Green Book Ratings Available For 2013 And 2014 Ford Vehicles

June 20, 2014

The U.S. EPA and Ford Motor Company recently issued new label fuel economy figures for a number of 2013 and 2014 Ford and Lincoln vehicles. These adjustments show reductions of up to eight miles per gallon (MPG) in highway fuel economy and up to seven MPG in the city.

For model years 2013 and 2014, we rescored the affected vehicles. Green Scores declined by up to three points as a result. Model-by-model scores before and after the correction are listed below. Our 2014 “Greenest” and “Greener Choices” lists are unchanged as a result of the adjustments. For 2013, The Ford Fusion and C-MAX Hybrid drop off the “Greenest list” to be replaced by the Acura ILX Hybrid, and the C-MAX hybrid drops off the “Greener Choices” list. With regards to the “Best of Class” highlights, the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid, Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, and C-MAX PHEV no longer top the Midsize list. The 2014 lists are unaffected. The new Green Scores are as follows:
