Introduction

The Best of 2013 lists the greenest models in each vehicle class. Included are the year's top-rated subcompact, compact, midsize, and large cars, as well as minivans, vans, pickups, and sport utility vehicles.

The Greenest Vehicles of 2013 lists the top models having the highest Green Scores overall.

The Meanest Vehicles for the Environment in 2013 lists the 12 cars and trucks with this year's worst Green Scores.

Ratings for earlier years

In addition to the model year 2013 listings, ACEEE's Green Book® Online also contains ratings for all model year 2000 through 2012 vehicles. Ratings for model year 1998 and 1999 vehicles are available in hard copy in the 1998 and 1999 editions of ACEEE's Green Book®, respectively. These can be purchased through the ACEEE publications office. Ratings for older vehicles (model year 1997 and earlier) are not available.
